I ran across this ad this morning. I wish it also said “Coming soon to a place near you”, like they do with movies.
Meanwhile, another workshop will deal with an unpleasant fact of life: We all run across people in our day-to-day lives who we would consider “difficult to deal with.”
The workshop, “Dealing with Difficult People,” is sure to help. “The main topic of the workshop is learning how to stand up for yourself without hurting others,” said Melissa Desforges, program presenter. Desforges believes “the way to accomplish this is through assertiveness, the only healthy style of communication.”
Topics discussed will include learning the difference between passive, aggressive and passive-aggressive forms of communication. Participants also will learn how to forgive people and to let go of the past.
The workshop will take place on Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Mandeville Conference Room of St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
The fee is $10, but St. Tammany Parish Hospital employees and Parenting Center members will be admitted free of charge. . . . . . . .
I have an audio book titled “Coping With Difficult People”, but I don’t remember it doing all that. LOL. Maybe I should go back for another listen.
